Interactive Exhibition Installation for Powtech Exhibition
Coperion (2017)
The ATEX explosion protection system from Coperion was to be shown at Powtech 2018. This is a protective measure for industrial plants that process flour or powder in the event of a flour dust ignition. To protect the majority of the plant, the airlocks lock in a flash when there is an acute increase in pressure, thus containing the explosion.

For the trade fair, we decided to develop an interactive application that reacts to the distance of the trade fair visitor via infrared sensor. Above a certain distance, the sluice begins to "cut out" during operation. If the visitor falls below a critical distance, the explosion animation in the machine is triggered. This is followed by an automated sequence in which the technical details are explained.
