Coperion (2019)
At K19, the world's largest trade fair for the plastics and rubber industry, Coperion focused on topics such as recycling or upcycling. Under the collective term "Circular Economy", we developed a meaningful trade fair stand that was intended to highlight the strengths of Coperion's industrial plants with regard to the aforementioned topics.
The centrepiece was the ring spanning 9 metres in diameter, inside which was a continuous 360-degree display. Within the team, my task was to create 3D animations for this huge ring. The challenge here was both to compensate for the curvatures of the ring and to adapt the contents to the inclination. In addition, an extremely wide screen that completely encloses the viewer requires new ideas to direct the dramaturgy of the content correctly at all times.
Regardless of what kind of animation we wanted to show, the first thing we had to do was rethink.
Any animations, such as this example of an explosion animation, had to be thought of horizontally.
